In order to prepare for the celebration of Balik Mater 2011, MCHS Class '86 conducted a Logo making Contest last July 23, 2011. It was held in Mater Carmeli School Cafeteria and was participated in by six talented students of the school.
Paolo P. Segaya, a 16 years old student of IV - Love, emerged as the winner. When asked about his dreams, he mentioned that he would like to be an architect someday so that he can help his parents support the needs of their family. Paolo is the son of Robert and Pearly Segaya of Brgy. Abangay, Dingle.
May Florence Quinga and Shayne Marie Tacda, both from IV - Love, came in second and third. Runners-up were Cherry Cagas (III Serenity), R.R. L. Dellomes (IV-Faith), and Jae Camelle Vargas (IV-Love).
MCHS Class '86 representatives Ma. Lina D. Valencia, Jeanette Dato-on, and Steve Peñafort served as judges. Mazel Mary P. Jeongco, also of MCHS Class '86 and Mrs. Jocelyn Andrada of the MCS Alumni Affairs Office coordinated the contest with support of Sr. Gina Pios, CM. The event was conducted under the leadership of Yrel Ortizo (MCHS Class'86) who is the incumbent president of the alumni association.
